USHERS
Ushers have long provided the service of hospitality in our Sunday assemblies and other special liturgical celebrations. In addition to handing out bulletins, assisting the congregation with seating and approaching the altar table for Communion, and taking up the collection, the usher is a host who acts on behalf of the community and is truly caring about people. The usher is the one who helps people to believe that their presence in the assembly is important and welcomed. Young adults and both men and women who represent a broad cross-section of the community are invited to share in this ministry of service and care. On the job training is provided by parishioners already active in this ministry.
