Stewardship
GOD GIVES IT ALL...
THEN CALLS US TO SHARE.
We love you Lord and know that You are the source of all good things. Help us to realize that growing closer to You is the only way to true happiness. We know we grow closer to You by focusing more on what we can do for Your people, and less on our wants, privileges, possessions, and prestige. Touch our hearts, Lord, that during this Parish Stewardship Renewal, we will share generously with our parish community and obtain the true happiness, joy and satisfaction of good Stewardship. AMEN
STEWARDSHIP 2012: UPDATE
As of December 22nd, we have heard from 295 families who have generously pledged $376,621 towards our Stewardship drive. As you know, these funds are what support our parish needs including the cost of running the parish, as well as the many ministries we support. We still need your pledges if you have not already turned one in. Pledge cards are still available in the pews as well as in the parish office in case you have lost yours. If you cannot support the Stewardship Pledge Drive financially, please support it through your prayers by returning your pledge card marked PRAYERS on it. This will help us avoid having to send another follow-up letter, which in turn will help us keep costs down.
As we head into the new year, please take this time to prayerfully consider how you can help further God's work here on earth through supporting your parish Stewardship Campaign. Thank you for your service to our parish family as well as our community at large!
**************
“The founding families of our parish sacrificed to ensure that the Catholic Church and Christ's message would be a living presence in our community. I know that you, as a member of our parish, want to continue that tradition and receive the happiness and satisfaction of good Stewardship.”
“Therefore, I am writing to you with an unconditional offer to receive those graces through the guaranteed joy in giving of yourself. In all my years in ministry, I have never met anyone who did not feel greater joy in giving than in receiving. At this time of financial challenges for so many, I ask those in our parish family who have been blessed with stable financial situations to consider helping out a little more (possibly you could increase your pledge by 5-10%) to make up for those who are temporarily unable to give as generously as they have in the past.”
“Luke 6:38.... Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure pressed down shaken together to make room for more and running over. Whatever measure you use to give - large or small will be used to measure what is given back to you.”
